How it works:
- Organizing club member creates the club’s virtual race(s), and sets various rules
- Choose your distance, course and ranking method
- Skate and classic for all races
- Gender and age group rankings for all races
- Racers ski, post results, GPS link and photos
- Results are updated in real time
There are two ways to host a race
VIRTUAL LOPPET BASED RACE
- Race organizer signs up as a ‘race director’ and creates a race
- Skiers individually sign up to Virtual Loppet and post results
- Cost runs at $20 per skier, funded by the skier
EXISTING CLUB RACE
- Race organizer has an existing race and sign-up process
- Organizer (only) signs up to Virtual Loppet based on race size limits
- Virtual Loppet site is used by skiers to post and view results
- Your page is branded for your race
- Cost typically runs $2-to-$4 per skier, or less, funded by the club
Small Race (up to 50)
Medium Race (50-to-100)
Large Race (100+)

Notes
-Every club gets a dedicated race page
-Results can be ranked based on time, average speed or adjusted average speed.
-Sort by classic and skate
-Filter by gender and age group
-Password protect the race page for your members
*The adjusted speed scales your average speed based on your elevation gain versus the average elevation gain in the category (you get a boost for skiing more hills). Club organizer can choose which ranking to use.
